9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance

Wednesday, September 11th 2013

HandsOn Santa Clarita is excited to announce its inaugural 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance.  In the days and weeks that followed September 11th 2001, our nation came together in an unprecedented spirit of community and volunteerism. This extraordinary response to the September 11 tragedy solidified the notion that compassion for those in need is a very powerful and unifying force.  HandsOn Santa Clarita’s Inaugural 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance will focus on the same belief by asking volunteers to come together and give back to our local first responders.  The two-part event consists of hands-on service projects during the day and a commemorative ceremony in the evening in which we will honor those who fell victim to the September 11 attacks and praise the heroic efforts of our local first responders.

By participating in HandsOn Santa Clarita’s 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance individuals can forever remember and pay tribute to the victims of September 11, honor those that rose in service in response to the attacks, and support our local EMS, fire, and police men and women.  As a way to show our support and gratitude, we ask that you help us serve those who serve us.
